Lets face it, even during this pandemic, some weddings are not being postponed. Firstly, you shouldn’t go to one and if you really need to, make sure you follow these precautionary steps:
Avoid physical contact
Do not hug or shake hands. This includes the bride and groom too because they are the ones meeting a lot of people that day.
Carry a hand sanitizer
You will be touching some inevitable things to reach the wedding venue, like; car door, door handles, chairs, stairs railings. So make sure you use your hand sanitizer frequently which has atleast 70% alcohol.
Avoid the food
Yes, we know you want to try all that delicious food but for your own safety try not to eat anything there, because a lot of people must be coming in contact with the dishes, plates, spoons and the food itself.
Keep a water bottle with you
It’s being told that corona virus doesn’t instantly attack your lungs but stays in your throat for sometime, so make sure you drink water frequently from your own bottle through out the event so once the water flushes it out, the virus can’t survive in your stomach.
Keep these clothes separate
Do not mix these clothes with others in your wardrobe, keep them separate and you can use them again after a couple of days because the virus can’t survive on non living objects for more than 48 hours.
Maintain a distance
Please make sure you stay at a safe distance at all times from other people and advise others to do the same.
Wear a mask
It will look like a fashion faux pas wearing a mask when you are all dressed up, but the priorities are different right now, DON’T RISK IT.
Take a shower
Once you are back from the event, run yourself a hot bath and take a shower to cleanse your body.
Avoid the event altogether
It must be a bummer for people whose wedding are planned during this time, and people not showing up must be even more hurtful, but truth be told, prevention is better than cure. You can call them, console them, send them a gift and apologize for missing their special day.
Stay safe you all!
